Sex and the City songs!

I have to admit I think I’ve seen every episode of Sex & the City thanks to the E! Network and my own personal addiction. That’s right, every cliché column, every time Carrie got mad at Big, every lunch at a cute restaurant. I love the show and the movies. There has been talk through the years about a third Sex and the City movie and I am totally on board!! I don’t know if it will actually happen, but that would be a dream. Here are some songs I think would fit well in another SATC movie! 🙂

1.) “Take Back the Night” by Justin Timberlake: The girls’ annual summer trip to the Hamptons would not be complete with a retro pop song playing as they glamorously walk into a fancy restaurant or club.

2.) “Birthday” by Katy Perry: This song would play as one of the girls would blow out a large amount of candles on a gorgeous cake as they all slowly realize they are growing older… Complete with cliché smiles as they kiss their husbands and put kids on their laps.

3.) “How Will I Know” cover by Sam Smith (originally by Whitney Houston): Carrie would start to feel lonely as Big continues favoring work over her and wants to watch TV when she would rather stare out the window, think of a column idea, and cuddle.

4.) “Make It With You” by Bread: Carrie comes home from a day of shopping with the girls to a home cooked meal. Big is standing in the kitchen listening to this song on his old record player as he stirs a pot of cooked vegetables.

5.) “See You Soon” by Coldplay: Steve has another cancer scare and Miranda sits at his bedside praying for his good health to come back.

6.) “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra: The women and their husbands look on in awe as Samantha has her first dance with her rich husband on their wedding day. The wedding takes place in a huge hotel with white and black lace donning every table and chair.

7.) “Rocket” by Beyoncé: We get a quick sultry glimpse into Samantha’s new married sex life.

8.) “Turn Down For What (feat. Lil Jon) by DJ Snake: This song plays during a Zumba class that the women decide to take, but quickly leave and go get ice cream instead. Charlotte complained the music was too inappropriate and too loud, Samantha thought it would be a male teacher, Carrie hates exercising, and Miranda said she has better things to do on a Saturday afternoon.

9.) “Boom Clap” by Charli XCX: Charlotte and Harry pack up their belongings as they decide to move out of the city to have a safer place for their kids to grow up. Charlotte smiling ear to ear is finally happy that they made the decision to get some distance from the city to have a quieter place to live. She walks out to a U-Haul wearing tennis shoes, capris, and a polo shirt while carrying a big brown box.

10.) “You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra: A classic old song plays as the women walk down the sidewalk looking hotter than ever on their way to a sunset dinner on the patio of a trendy new restaurant lit with twinkle lights and mason jars.

Hope you enjoyed this!
